Bore packing

A waterproofing technique that involves using non-shrink grout to fill gaps between the core cutting and the plumbing pipe

Steps in bore packing

Mark the core cutting location on the floor

Cut the core with a diameter slightly larger than the pipe

Roughen the side face of the core cutting area and pipe for better bonding

Apply a bonding agent

Use shuttering to hold the bore packing material

Position the pipe and check its location and verticality

Fill the gaps with non-shrink grout

Perform a ponding test or flood test to check the packing
